Versatile Insulated Aerial Work Platforms for Live-Line Maintenance: 10kV to 46kV, Working Heights of 19–21 Meters
As power grids expand and demand for uninterrupted electricity supply grows, live-line maintenance has become essential. Insulated aerial work platforms is engineered specifically for safe, efficient live working on distribution and sub-transmission networks. Covering nominal voltage ranges of 10kV, 35kV, and 46kV, these platform provide an optimal balance between reach, insulation integrity, and operational flexibility.
Two Boom Configurations: Straight or Articulated to Suit Your Job Site
The platform is available in two proven boom designs:
Straight (telescopic) boom: Offers faster vertical positioning and greater horizontal outreach at height, ideal for direct overhead line access.
Articulated (knuckle) boom: Provides excellent maneuverability around obstacles, tighter stowage, and the ability to work around energized components with complex geometries.
Working range achieve a maximum working height of 19 to 21 meters, allowing crews to safely access medium-voltage lines, transformers, switches, and insulators.
To meet diverse worksite requirements and regional preferences, the insulated aerial platform vehicle can be mounted on your choice of world-class chassis: ISUZU, HOWO, SHACMAN and do on.
All chassis come with left-hand/right-hand drive options and can be tailored to local registration standards.
The upper boom is constructed with high-strength fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) and fitted with a fully insulated liner. A dedicated intermediate insulating section meets international dielectric standards, ensuring safe phase-to-ground and phase-to-phase voltage protection. The work platform itself is non-conductive and platform insulated with chassis part.
The platform has a load capacity of 220 kg.
The insulated bucket can rotate ±180°.
The bucket can be lifted 0.4 m, increasing the working area and improving work efficiency.
The platform has steps for easy access for workers.
It is equipped with a rain cover to effectively protect the platform.
